Title: Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)
Date of Survey: 12/8/2016
Survey Detail/Results: The Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) UAS Director is seeking information from other state transportation agencies regarding the use of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) research being conducted at other DOTs. Please direct these questions to your UAS division or others in your agency who work with unmanned aerial systems.

Please respond to each question below that is applicable to your agency:

• What is the status of research in your state on UAS implementation and how is your agency using UAS?
o Do you have current research projects that are active and you are willing to share?
o If your DOT is not researching UAS, what agencies/entities in your state are implementing UAS?
• What sensors are being used?
• What specific business requirements are they meeting?
• Contact information for their UAS Departments or responsible UAS coordinators
• Policies and procedures if available to share, i.e., UAS Use policy, privacy policy, operating manual, contractual language
